NASUWT courses fall well within accepted definitions of what is reasonable. Health & Safety Representatives have a legal right to as much time off with pay as is necessary to enable them to carry out their role. If you have any difficulty in securing agreement to your time off, contact your Local Association Secretary or Regional Centre for advice.  Further detailed information is available from NASUWT headquarters on request and is also sent to all course applicants.   Courses are available at the Regional Centre in Leeds, or if it the dates are more convenient, you can attend at HQ or any other regional centre across the country. Travel and accommodation expenses will be met if needed, together with some reimbursement for childcare (or other eg elderly parent) Book yourself on a course - members really enjoy them!.
